Goldpaw paced around the apprentices den in suspense waiting to find out who his new mentor was going to be.
"I really hope its Graycloud. He's such a great warrior." he mewed nervously to himself.

Tiggerpaw looked up at his clanmate and lashed his tail impatiently.
"I wish they'd hurry up our ceremonies," he mewed. "But I do hope you get Graycloud. I think he's going to go talk to Eaglestar about having you as an apprentice soon." Tiggerpaw's eyes searched the camp, and sure enough, he found Graycloud standing next to Sparrowsong, waiting to talk to Eaglestar.
"See? Look!"

Tiggerpaw, who had stepped out of the apprentice's den for awhile, came rushing back in.
"Goldpaw! You'll never believe it! Appleblossom is going to have Graycloud's kits!"
